元数据DC与MARC的关系及在数字图书馆中的应用

摘  要：
元数据是一种关于数据的数据。DC和MARC是在图书馆应用较为广泛的两种元数据,它们之间既有联系也有区别。元数据是数字图书馆建设的关键技术之一,是数字图书馆用以进行知识组织和资源发现的工具,从MARC和DC的概念入手,分析了两种元数据的结构、特点,对二者进行了比较,研究了两者可能的映射转换。认为21世纪图书馆编目标准将会是DC与MARC并存的局面。

摘  要：
The metadata is a data about the data DC and MARC are the two metadata which use widely in the library,and there is relation as well as difference between them.The metadata is a key technology and a tool of organization of network information resource on digital library construction.This paper begins with the concepts of MARC and DC,the paper comments on the structure,features of the two original data-MARC and Dublin Core,researches the possible mapping conversion between DC and MARC through comparison,makes the conclusion that 21 century library will be a situation of the coexistence of MARC and Dublin Core.
