The experiment was conducted in 1993~1994 at IMGERS. The grazing systems included different stocking rates (1.33, 2.67, 4.00, 5.33 and 6.67 sheep/hm 2) under rotational grazing and different grazing pattern (rotational and continuous grazing, the stocking rates were 4.00 sheep/hm 2) from May 20 to October 5. The results showed that there were no significant difference (P>0.05) of influence for different grazing pattern to wool performance and the difference of influence of different stocking rates to wool performance (including growth rate and quality) varied with different seasons there were no significant difference among stocking rates during summer autumn season (June 20~October 5) but the growth rate (mm/d) of wool absolate length, the productive rate of net wool weight (g/d) and qualities (including absolate length (cm), strength (g), elongation (%) and average diameter (mm) were better for lighter stocking rates (1.33~4.00 sheep/hm 2) than heavier stocking rates (5.33~6.67 sheep/hm 2). There were seasonal growth pattern for all stocking rates. Average daily growth rate and productive rate of net wool weight were faster during warm season and slower during cold scason and they were positive coorelation between body weight gain and ambient temperature.
