Fifty kinds of neoplasms from 4,600 animals were found by the authors. Among these tumours, 18 kinds were found in swine ( 11 kinds malignant and 7 kinds benign). There were 15 kinds of tumours in bovine (5 kimds malignant and 10 benign). There were 16 kinds of tumours in chickens ( 13 kinds malignant and 3 benign ) . The neoplasms could be found in any organ and tissue of various species of animals in this area ( swine, bovine, chicken, duck, goose, deer, rabbit, mouse, dog, cat, fish and Chinese pangolin) and much more frequently in older animals, particularly carcinoma. Sarcoma, leukemia and teratoma were often discovered in middle age or younger animals, and some tumours such as lymphocytic leukemia, osteopetrosis, Marek's disease, carcinoma of accessory nasal sinus and primary hepatocarcinoma occurred in very large numbers. Some tumours grew in the form of multiple primary malignant tumours ( MPMT ) ( two or more malignant tumours grew in a single animal ) and in groups. The discovery of nasopharygneal carcinoma, cs-ophageal carcinoma and primary hepatocarcinoma in some animals ( swine, hen and duck ) has a special significance on the epidemiology of cancers, because in this area these malignant tumours are prevalent among human inhabitants.
