摘  要：
During the past two decades,there have been many impressive advances in scientific disciplines which led to the discovery and development of many strategies and technologies in farm animal production.Those strategies and technologies were developed from the advances made by our understanding of the endocrine system.Advances in farm animal production mainly included enhancing growth and lactation by altering circulating / tissue hormone concentration and the biological efficiency of somatotropin in domestic animals,as well as gene "knock-out" technology and clone.Effects of those strategy and technology on farm animal production in future were discussed.
