Study on hypoglycemic effect of Dahongpao tea.

摘  要:
[Objective] The aim was to explore the hypoglycemic effect of Dahongpao tea.[Method] The hyperglycemia model was established by the intraperitoneal injection of 200 mg/kg of alloxan into 50 mice twice every other day,then the blood glucose of 24 mice would reach above 9.00 mmol/L after four days.Those hyperglycemic mice would be divided into the control group and test group according to the similar blood glucose level of(15.11±6.47) mmol/L and(14.77±5.40) mmol/L respectively,there was no significant difference between the groups(P0.05).The mice in the control group were fed with basic food and cold water,wile those in the test group was fed with the basic food added with 3.0% of Dahongpao tea and water with 0.5% of Dahongpao tea.Then their blood glucose was tested again after seven days and the variation was studied.[Result] The blood glucose of the mice in the control group was(12.23±5.11) mmol/L,without any significant changes(P0.05);while that of the mice in the test group dropped to(7.93±1.88) mmol/L,reducing by 46.3%(P0.001).[Conclusion] Dahongpao tea could effectively reduce the blood glucose of the hyperglycemic mice.
