This experiment aims at researching the effects of low temperature and the effects of vitamin E on production performance of ducklings. 2×3 cross repetition test was used to divide 180 young duck egg ducks at 1 days old randomly into 6 groups. Each group had 5 repetitions, each repeated 6, designed two temperature levels, low temperature and suitable temperature. The suitable temperature was the ambient temperature of ducklings in ducks. The temperature of the low temperature environment began to be tested and appropriate. The temperature environment remained the same, which was lowered by 4~5 C at 5, 9 and 25 days of age respectively. The VE added to feed for low temperature rearing ducks was 20 IU/kg, 200 IU/kg and 400 IU/kg respectively, and the test period was32 D. The test results showed that the daily weight gain and survival rate of the ducks at all stages of the low temperature group were significantly lower than that of the suitable temperature group(P<0.05), while the average feed intake and the meat ratio of the ducks in the low temperature group were higher than those of the suitable temperature group(P<0.05). When the vitamin E additive amount was200 IU/kg, the low temperature and suitable temperature reared the duck egg ducklings. The daily weight gain was significantly improved(P<0.05); the addition of 200 IU/kg vitamin E to the egg duckling diet was more effective.
