羔羊肉具有脂肪少,膻味轻,味美多汁,胆固醇含量低,容易消化等特点,这是当前羊肉生产不断增加的重要原因。论文介绍了新西兰等国生产羔羊肉的五个方面经验,中国从七十年代以来开展生产羔羊肉研究试验的状况,以及在甘肃省开展目标明确的为增加羊肉生产而进行系列化配套措施研究的内容和目的。
