Cre/lox site-specific recombination system is an important tool of plant genetic engineering,and can be applied in precise excision and site-specific integration of the interest gene in transgenic plants.This review focused on the basic structure,mode of action,and the application especial in gene excision and site-specific integration of the Cre/lox system.
