我国古代的家畜饲养标准

饲喂家畜规定每日须给与一定的各种饲料量。广义地说,这样的规定就是家畜饲养标准。我国劳动人民总结饲喂家畜的经验,制订了他们自己的家畜饲养标准。例如近代西北民间饲养骡马,有两句口诀:“三麸三料八斤草;四麸四料十二斤草”。前者就是饲喂小型骡马的饲养标准;后者就是饲喂大型骡马的饲养标准。古代劳动人民也有类似的家畜饲养标准。例如元代出版的农桑辑要(丛书集成本)卷七引韩氏直说喂牛法中载有“每日前后饷,约饲草三束,豆料八升”。还有清代出版的农蚕经(抄本)中也载有:“喂牛:未上犋(似应作犋音贝两岁牛)。先于三五日前,每牛料半斤,草一束”。这些都是饲喂耕牛的饲养标

摘  要：
The official feeding standards of domestic animals in the military horse farms in the Tang Dynasty in the seventh and the eighth century A.D. are discribed and compared with the mo- dern feeding standards of the Western countries. The daily allowance of different feeds for different animals as set forth in the ancient Chinese feeding standards was varied according to the differences in species, in body sizes, and in their needs during work and lactation. Salt was provided daily. The feeding standards for horses, cattle and sheep are recalculated separ- ately on the modern seientific basis and expressed in terms of the oat feeding unit and tbe diges- tible protein. From the comparison, it has been revealed that the ancient Chinese feeding st- andards are quite close to the modern feeding standards in those respects mentioned above. This is due to the fact that the ancient Chinese feeding standards were formulated on the basis of the practical experiences in animal feeding by the ancient Chinese peasants.
