摘  要:
姜细菌性叶枯病是生姜上的一种新病害,在我国发生较普遍。根据病原细菌在形态、染色反应、培养性状、生理生化和致病性等方面的测定,我们认为姜细菌性叶枯病的病原细菌是Xanthomonas属的一个新种,定名为XanthomonasZingibericola n.sp.

摘  要:
A new bacterial disease causing the leaf blight of the ginger plant was found to be quite prevalent in Jiangsu, Shandong, Beijing, China. The causal organism of the disease has been identified as a new species of the genus Xanthomonas, named Xanthomonas Zingibericola n.sp.with following characteristics:Rods of 1.4×0.7μin size, single,or in pairs, occasionally in chainsy no spores and capsule but with a distinct slime layers motile by a single polar flagellum. Gram staining reaction nega- tive. Aerobic,optimum temperature for growth between 30-32℃. Colonies on nutrient agar waxy yellow in colour, circular, smooth, margin en- tire,convex and very viscid, growth on agar slant filiform. Growth on nutrient broth abundant with ring form surface growth but no definite pellicle. No growth on Cohn's and Ferm's solution.Nitrites not pro- duced from nitrates; ammonia but no hydrogen sulphide produced from pepton; indole not produced.Gelatin liquefied rapidly, milk not coagu- lated but peptonized;reaction of litmus slightly acid and litmus reduced. Acid but no gas from dextrose, sucrose, lactose, maltose, xylose, fruc- tose, galactose, mannitol, glycerol,no acid from rhamnose,sorbitol, inositol salicin.Starch and tween 80 hydrolyzed.Methyl red and V.P. tests negative.No growth in broth containing 6% NaCl or 0.1% TTC. catalase positive.
