The accumulation quantity of the volatile oil and nutrition element in different periods of six-year-old Asarum heterotropoides var.mandshuricum grown in Tonghua of Jilin province was studied. The relativity was analyzed by the SAS software in the computer. The result indicated that the volatile oil content of Asarum heterotropoides var.mandshuricum had a significant positive correlation with the nitrogen phosphorus and potassium content. The correlation coefficient with phosphorus was the largest,up to 0.893 5,showing a very significant relationship, with nitrogen was 0.580 4,and with potassium was 0.505 8.The comparison with other elements turned out that the correlation coefficient of sulfur between volatile oil was greater than the that of nitrogen and potassium. But the significance probability was as low as 0.069 3.Through regression analysis, the function of equation between volatile and nutrients was: volatile=-0.886 4+0.000 8 N+0.568 6 P-0.012 2 K-16.620 2 B-5.326 1 Zn.
