也谈文学翻译中审美的“陌生化”取向

摘要：

"异化"和"陌生化"两个概念有类似之处,但"异化"绝不等同于"陌生化"。"陌生化"作为"文学性"的表征之一,应当成为文学翻译的目标。"异化"翻译可能让译文产生"陌生化"的效果,但是却不能就此认为"异化"翻译就一定能够产生"陌生化"的效果,更不能认为译文产生的"陌生化"效果就是原文的"陌生化"手法造成的。

摘要：

This paper traces the two concepts foreignization and defamiliarization to their origins,analyzes their similarities and differences,and points out that they are quite different concepts.Defamiliarization as a sign of literariness should be the aim of literary translation.Foreignized translation may produce a defamiliarized effect,but we can not thus think that foreignized translation is bound to produce a defamiliarized effect,nor conclude that the defamiliarized effect produced by the translation results from the defamiliarized technique of the original text.
